While policies aimed at ensuring gender justice for women exist, the critical question remains, How effective are they in truly helping women?

Drafting policies and enacting laws is not enough, proper implementation is essential. Currently, the government is revising the women’s policies of 1996, 2009, and 2015. A new reform is underway, guided by the Gender Council under the Women and Child Development Department.
The key recommendations for the new policy include:

• Capping expenses for arranged marriages.
• Creating a local-level data bank of women job seekers and prioritising women’s employment.
• Establish up-to-date registers in local institutions and police stations to track households where older women live alone or together.
• Setting up more shelter homes.
• Strengthen legal protection and make procedures more accessible for addressing gender-based violence at home and in the workplace.
• Ensure equal pay for women and provide more economic empowerment opportunities.
• Guarantee access to comprehensive healthcare, including mental health support.
• Improve workplace policies to support women through maternity benefits and anti-harassment measures.
• Enhance education and skill development programs for girls, especially in STEM fields.
• Increase public safety with better surveillance, safe transport, and distress helplines.
• Launch public campaigns to challenge societal gender biases and promote equality.

The goal is to finalize and submit this policy to the government on Kerala’s state formation day. In today’s society, ensuring gender justice is more critical than ever. Existing laws fall short in addressing the growing crimes against women. To fill this gap, it is crucial to introduce more robust laws that protect women’s privacy, dignity, and rights. While drafting policies and passing legislation are essential steps, actual progress lies in their practical implementation. The recommendations from the Gender Council are a positive move in this direction, but real change will only come when these policies are enforced with efficiency and urgency.

The Centre has sought more time to submit its counter affidavit in response to the Kerala Pravasi Association’s Supreme Court petition, which questions the effectiveness of rabies vaccines and treatments. 

The court, observing that valuable lives are being lost during ongoing discussions, voiced concerns over the prolonged delay in resolving the matter. Given that the case has been pending for two years, the court directed the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Chief Secretary of Kerala to submit a counter-affidavit within six weeks or appear in-person at the next hearing.
The bench, comprising Justices C.T. Ravikumar and Sanjay Karol, heard the case (WPC No. 882/2022) listed as item 47. Despite receiving notice in 2022, the Central Government requested additional time in March 2024, stating that discussions are still ongoing to address the issue.

The petition, filed by Kerala Pravasi Association Chairman Rajendran Vellapalath and President Aswani Nambarambath, calls for an expert committee to assess the efficacy of intradermal rabies vaccines for humans and veterinary vaccines for dogs. It also urges uniform implementation of national rabies prevention guidelines and raises concerns over the rapid release of vaccines in Kerala, claiming this violates constitutional rights and the Drugs and Cosmetics Act of 1940.

The petition highlighted concerns regarding the manufacturing and testing process of human rabies vaccines, as per the National Center for Disease Control guidelines, which typically takes at least 3-4 months. Shockingly, vaccines were made available in Kerala within just 14 days of production. The KPA’s petition argued that using such vaccines without proper quality checks violates Articles 14, 19, and 21 of the Constitution and breaches the 1940 Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

എന്നാൽ ചർച്ചകൾ തുടരുമ്പോൾ വിലയേറിയ ജീവനുകൾ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയാണെന്ന് നിരീക്ഷിച്ച കോടതി, നീണ്ട കാലതാമസത്തിൽ ആശങ്ക പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. കേസ് രണ്ട് വർഷമായി തീർപ്പുകൽപ്പിക്കാത്തതിനാൽ, വിഷയത്തിന്റെ ഗൗരവം കണക്കിലെടുത്ത് ആരോഗ്യ കുടുംബക്ഷേമ മന്ത്രാലയം സെക്രട്ടറിയും കേരള ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറിയും ആറാഴ്ചയ്ക്കകം എതിർ സത്യവാങ്മൂലം സമർപ്പിക്കാൻ കോടതി നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ, അടുത്ത വാദം കേൾക്കൽ തീയതിയിൽ കോടതിയിൽ നേരിട്ട് ഹാജരാകണമെന്നും കോടതി നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു.

ജസ്റ്റിസ് സി ടി രവികുമാർ, ജസ്റ്റിസ് സഞ്ജയ് കരോൾ എന്നിവരുടെ ബെഞ്ചിന് മുമ്പാകെ 47-ാം ഇനമായി പട്ടികപ്പെടുത്തിയ (ഡബ്ല്യുപി (സി) നമ്പർ 882/2022] കേസിലാണ് എതിർ സത്യവാങ്മൂലം സമർപ്പിക്കാൻ കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ കൂടുതൽ സമയം തേടിയത്. അതേസമയം 2022 ൽ നോട്ടീസ് നൽകിയെങ്കിലും 2024 മാർച്ചിൽ തന്നെ കൂടുതൽ സമയം വേണമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. പ്രശ്നം പരിഹരിക്കാനുള്ള ചർച്ചകൾ ഇപ്പോഴും നടക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും കേന്ദ്രം വിശദീകരിച്ചു.

ഇന്ത്യയിൽ മനുഷ്യർക്ക് നൽകുന്ന ഇൻട്രാ ഡെർമൽ റാബിസ് വാക്‌സിനുകളുടെയും (IDRV), നായ്ക്കൾക്കു നൽകുന്ന റാബിസ് വെറ്ററിനറി വാക്‌സിനുകളുടെയും ഫലപ്രാപ്തി പഠിക്കാൻ ഒരു സ്വതന്ത്ര വിദഗ്ധ സമിതി രൂപീകരിക്കുക, 2019 ൽ പുറത്തിറക്കിയ റാബിസ് പ്രതിരോധത്തിനുള്ള ദേശീയ മാർഗ്ഗനിർദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ ഏകീകൃതവും ശാസ്ത്രീയവുമായ രീതിയിൽ നടപ്പിൽ വരുത്തുക, ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടന പുറത്തിറക്കുന്ന മാർഗ നിർദേശങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് അവബോധമുണ്ടാക്കാനുള്ള സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ നടപ്പിൽ വരുത്തുക എന്നീ ആവശ്യങ്ങളുന്നയിച്ചാണ് കേരളാ പ്രവാസി അസോസിയേഷൻ ചെയർമാൻ രാജേന്ദ്രൻ വെള്ളപ്പാലത്തും പ്രസിഡണ്ട് അശ്വനി നമ്പാറമ്പത്തും സുപ്രീം കോടതിയിൽ ഹർജി സമർപ്പിച്ചത്. നാഷണൽ സെന്റർ ഫോർ ഡിസീസ് കൺട്രോളിന്റെ മാർഗ്ഗനിർദ്ദേശപ്രകാരം മനുഷ്യർക്കുള്ള റാബീസ് വാക്സിന്റെ നിർമ്മാണം സങ്കീർണ്ണമായ പ്രക്രിയയായതിനാൽ, നിർമ്മാണത്തിനും പരിശോധനക്കുമായി കുറഞ്ഞത് മൂന്നോ നാലോ മാസമെങ്കിലും ആവശ്യമാണ്. എന്നാൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച് 14 ദിവസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ കേരളത്തിൽ വാക്‌സിൻ ലഭ്യമാക്കിയ സംഭവങ്ങൾ ഞെട്ടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഗുണനിലവാര പരിശോധന നടത്താതെ ജനങ്ങളിൽ ഇത്തരം വാക്സിനുകൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് ഭരണഘടനയുടെ ആർട്ടിക്കിൾ 14, 19, 21 എന്നിവയുടെയും, 1940 ലെ ഡ്രഗ്സ് ആൻഡ് കോസ്‌മെറ്റിക് നിയമത്തിന്റെയും ലംഘനമാണെന്നും കേരളാ പ്രവാസി അസോസിയേഷൻ സമർപ്പിച്ച ഹർജിയിൽ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

A hunger-free Kerala is a primary goal of the Kerala Pravasi Association (KPA). Unconcerned with the politics of those who enjoy three hearty meals while others go hungry, KPA remains focused on the fact that hunger transcends religion, caste, and politics. Under the leadership of Chairman Rajendran Vellapalath, KPA has distributed approximately 4,000 free food kits to deserving individuals, providing relief amid rising prices of daily necessities. The initiative, which is active in various districts, will expand to more cities across the state. KPA views this effort as a fundamental responsibility, not an act of charity, and remains committed to delivering food to those in need, regardless of their political or social affiliations.

On August 19, a meeting of UDF leaders was held in Ernakulam, with opposition leader Mr. V.D. Satheesan in attendance, along with representatives from all 14 districts of Kerala. The gathering, which took place after the Kerala Pravasi Association (KPA) officially became part of the United Democratic Front (UDF), focused on discussions about Kerala’s development. The return of the UDF to power is crucial for the development of Kerala.

നാട് വർഗീയമായി വിഭജിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വളർച്ചയും പുരോഗതിയും മുരടിക്കും. വർഗീയതയും മതരാഷ്ട്ര ചിന്തകളും നാടിന്റെ ഐക്യത്തെ തളർത്തും. വ്യവസായങ്ങളും തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങളും കുറയും. മാറുന്ന കാലത്തെ മനസിലാക്കുന്ന ഭരണകൂടങ്ങളാണ് നമുക്ക് വേണ്ടത്. അന്ധവിശ്വാസങ്ങളുടെ പ്രചാരകർ നാടിനെ പിന്നോട്ടടിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ്. ശാസ്ത്ര – സാങ്കേതിക വളർച്ചകളിൽ ഇന്ത്യയും മറ്റ് രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒപ്പം വളരണം. ജവഹർലാൽ നെഹ്‌റുവിന്റെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് തുടരുന്ന സർക്കാരുകൾക്കേ ഭാവി ഇന്ത്യയെ വാർത്തെടുക്കാൻ കഴിയൂ. നമ്മുടെ ഭരണഘടന ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്ന മൗലികാവകാശങ്ങൾ ലംഘിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സ്ഥിതിക്ക് മാറ്റം വരണം. അഭിപ്രായ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ഉറപ്പുവരുത്താൻ കഴിയണം. കടുത്ത ആശങ്കയിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോവുകയാണ് രാജ്യത്തെ മതന്യൂനപക്ഷങ്ങൾ. ന്യൂനപക്ഷ സംരക്ഷണത്തിൽ ഭരണഘടനപരമായ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം നിറവേറ്റുന്ന ഒരു സർക്കാർ അധികാരത്തിലെത്തേണ്ടത് വർത്തമാന ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആവശ്യമാണ്. വിലക്കയറ്റവും തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മയും വിഭജനവും നാടിനെ തകർക്കുകയാണ്. പാചകവാതക വില ഇത്രയേറെ വർധിച്ച മറ്റൊരു കാലഘട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. പെട്രോൾ – ഡീസൽ വില അനുദിനം കൂടുന്നു. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസമേഖലകൾ കാവിവൽക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ജനങ്ങളിൽ അനാവശ്യഭയം സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. കേന്ദ്രം ഭരിക്കുന്ന ബിജെപി സർക്കാരിന്റെ നേർപതിപ്പായിരിക്കുകയാണ് പിണറായി വിജയൻ സർക്കാർ. കേരളത്തിൽ പെട്രോളിനും ഡീസലിനും അയൽ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെക്കാൾ ലിറ്ററിന് പത്ത് രൂപയോളം അധികം നൽകണം. കോൺഗ്രസ് ഭരിക്കുന്ന കർണാടകയിൽ സ്ത്രീകൾ ബസിൽ സൗജന്യമായി യാത്ര ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ കേരളത്തിലെ കെ എസ് ആർ ടി സി യാത്രക്കാർ ബസ് ചാർജ്ജിന് പുറമെ സെസ് കൂടി നൽകണം. സപ്ലൈകോയിൽ സബ്‌സിഡി സാധനങ്ങൾ കിട്ടാതായിട്ട് ഒരു കൊല്ലത്തോളമായിരിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേമപെൻഷനുകൾ കുടിശികയാണ്. കുട്ടികളെ തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതും പീഡനത്തിനിരയായി കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നതും നമ്മൾ കണ്ടതാണ്. മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലെ ഐസിയുവിൽ പോലും സ്ത്രീകൾ പീഡിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതും അതിജീവിതമാർ നീതിക്കായി തെരുവിൽ ഇറങ്ങുന്നതും ഉത്തരേന്ത്യയിൽ അല്ല, ഇവിടെ നമ്മുടെ കേരളത്തിലാണ്. സ്ത്രീകൾക്കും കുട്ടികൾക്കും സുരക്ഷിതമായി ജീവിക്കാൻ പറ്റാത്ത നാടായി കേരളത്തെ മാറ്റിയവർക്ക് ജനം മറുപടി നൽകുന്ന കാലം വിദൂരമല്ല. വാട്ടർബില്ലും വൈദ്യതിബില്ലും നികുതികളും അടിക്കടി കൂട്ടുന്ന സർക്കാർ ജനങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലാക്കൊല ചെയ്യുകയാണ്. പുതിയ തലമുറക്ക് തൊഴിൽചെയ്ത് ജീവിക്കാനും ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനുമുള്ള അവസരം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിൽ കേന്ദ്ര – സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരുകൾ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. പത്ത് വർഷം ഭരിച്ച് ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ ഇപ്പോൾ ഗ്യാരണ്ടി നൽകുന്നവരുടെ പൊള്ളത്തരം ജനം തിരിച്ചറിയും. 

ജനാധിപത്യവും മതേതരത്വവും സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും ജനക്ഷേമകരമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ നടപ്പാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന സർക്കാരുകളാണ് നമുക്ക് വേണ്ടത്. വർത്തമാനകാല ഇന്ത്യൻ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ കോൺഗ്രസിനെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടത് ഓരോ ജനാധിപത്യ വിശ്വാസിയുടെയും കടമയാണ്.  രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ നിലനിൽപ്പിനായുള്ള ഈ പോരാട്ടത്തിൽ കേരളാ പ്രവാസി അസോസിയേഷനും ​ഘടകകക്ഷിയാവുകയാണ്. ജനാധിപത്യവും ബഹുസ്വരതയും എന്നും നെഞ്ചേറ്റുന്ന കോൺഗ്രസിനാപ്പം നിൽക്കേണ്ടത് ഇന്നിൻ്റെ കടമയാണെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു. കോൺഗ്രസ് നേതൃത്വം നൽകുന്ന യു ഡി എഫിൻ്റെ ഘടകകക്ഷിയായി കേരളാ പ്രവാസി അസോസിയേഷൻ കരുത്തോടെ മുന്നോട്ട് പോകും…

കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രബല മുന്നണിയായ UDF ന്റെ ഘടകകക്ഷിയായി KPA യെ അംഗീകരിച്ച തീരുമാനം സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നു. മതനിരപേക്ഷ കേരളത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീക്ഷയാണ് ഈ മുന്നണി എന്ന തിരിച്ചറിവാണ് UDF മായി സഹകരിക്കുവാൻ ഞങ്ങളെ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ലോക്സഭാ തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ നിരുപാധിക പിന്തുണയാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ UDF സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് നൽകിയത്. കേരളം ഇന്നേവരെ കൈവരിച്ച വികസനത്തിൽ ഐക്യജനാധിപത്യ മുന്നണി സർക്കാരുകൾക്കുള്ള പങ്ക് വളരെ വലുതാണ്. വികസന മുരടിപ്പിലൂടെയാണ് നാമിപ്പോൾ കടന്നു പോവുന്നത്. അഭ്യസ്തവിദ്യരുടെ തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ രൂക്ഷമാണ്. അവശ ജനവിഭാഗങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ക്ഷേമ പെൻഷൻ കുടിശ്ശികയായിട്ട് മാസങ്ങളായി. സിവിൽ സപ്ലൈ കോർപ്പറേഷന്റെ കീഴിലുള്ള മാവേലി സ്റ്റോറുകൾ കാലിയായി കിടക്കുന്ന ദുരവസ്ഥ. PSC യെ നോക്കുകുത്തിയാക്കി സ്വജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ജോലികളിൽ പിൻവാതിൽ നിയമനം. സർക്കാർ ജീവനക്കാരുടെയും പെൻഷൻകാരുടെയും ക്ഷാമബത്ത ഒരു മിത്തായി മാറിയ അവസ്ഥ. മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുമായി താരതമ്യപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോൾ കാലാനുസൃതമായ പുരോഗതി ഇല്ലാതെ കൃഷിയും വ്യവസായവും ടൂറിസവുമൊക്കെ പിന്തള്ളപ്പെട്ടു പോവുന്ന സ്ഥിതിവിശേഷം മാറണ്ടേ? നിർമിത ബുദ്ധി (AI) യുടെ കാലഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ സവിശേഷതകൾ ജനസമൂഹത്തിന് അനുഭവവേദ്യമാക്കുന്ന രീതിയിലാകണം ഭരണപരിഷ്ക്കാരങ്ങൾ. നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന പിന്നോക്കാവസ്ഥയിൽ നിന്ന് മോചനം കിട്ടാതെ നാട് എങ്ങനെ രക്ഷപ്പെടും? 

UDF മുന്നണി ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ടേ നമുക്ക് ഈ അവസ്ഥകളെ മറികടക്കാനാവൂ. കേരള ജനത ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി ആ ലക്ഷ്യത്തിലേക്ക് മുന്നേറട്ടെ എന്നാണ് ഈ അവസരത്തിൽ KPA ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

The event saw the release of the book “A Comprehensive Illustration of Friendship Gatherings of Syed Sadiqali Thangal” – a book of pictures and experiences of the many journeys made by Thangal across the 14 districts of Kerala and across cities in India (Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai etc), while raising the flag of religious harmony and brotherhood.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Revanth Reddy stated that he is envious of the people of Kerala, who have remained vigilant in keeping communal forces at bay.

“Kerala has not allowed any communal forces to enter this soil. Both proud and envious of this.”
He added that the country should model Kerala’s vigilance to move the society forward together.

The National General Secretary of the Muslim League, Mr. P.K. Kunjalikutty Sahib, who delivered the introductory speech, led the gathering to a huge success.

Eminent personalities from all walks of life (including spiritual masters of various religions, prominent artists, Padma Shri awardee, personalities from the political and social spheres) participated in this event, sharing a message of religious harmony and human love to the society.

The event was truly a noble example of humanity and must be set as an example for generations.
KPA appreciates and applauds the stand taken by the Muslim League to maintain unity in the society through such warm gatherings. Let this be an example and a message for all political parties.

Kerala Pravasi Association (KPA), sanctioned by the Central Election Commission, recently declared its intention to extend unconditional support to the UDF candidates in Kerala in the Lok Sabha elections.

This decision was announced considering the organization’s recognition of the importance of front politics while maintaining its unique identity in Kerala.

In today’s political landscape, safeguarding democracy and secularism is paramount. KPA finds itself unable to align with positions that promote vote-bank politics and exacerbate polarization in Kerala. After carefully considering the current political scenario, KPA has concluded that supporting the UDF is imperative for Kerala’s progress and development.

The decision to support the UDF also stems from KPA’s commitment to leading the diaspora community and using its expertise to create new and better opportunities for the people of Kerala. Recognizing the significance of non-residents having a voice in Kerala’s administration for its overall development, KPA believes that strengthening the UDF is crucial.

In light of the broader Indian political context, where alliances such as the “India Front” have been formed to counter the threat of fascism, KPA sees aligning with the UDF as a strategic move.

KPA announces its stand for the Lok Sabha elections

The Kerala Pravasi Association, which started functioning with the approval of the Central Election Commission, will provide unconditional support to the UDF candidates in Kerala.
Chairman Rajendran Vellapalath made the announcement at a press conference at the Malabar Palace in Kozhikode.

KPA is a movement that realizes the relevance of front politics while maintaining its own identity in Kerala. Rajendran stated that when the nation faces an election, it is the responsibility of a popular political party to publicly declare its positions and move forward.

KPA’s announcement is expected to create movement in present-day politics. The nation survives by protecting democracy and secularism. KPA cannot reconcile itself to the position of fostering vote politics by increasing polarization in Kerala politics and hence declared its unconditional support to UDF candidates after proper assessment of the present political scenario.

Formed to lead the Diaspora community and the Kerala people towards development, the KPA will campaign for the victory of the UDF candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This decision was made after much deliberation and debates about who should vote for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and which front to support.

In the current Indian political context, the “India Front” was formed by parties including the Congress to prevent the country from reaching fascism.

While in Karnataka and West Bengal, the CPM, who have been in power for over three decades, is standing for the Congress. Today’s political scenario in Kerala demands that the KPA vote goes for the UDF in all its 20 constituencies.

KPA is of the unwavering belief that the UDF is key for the development of Kerala. An organization cannot co-exist with outdated ideologies that could dangerously result in stagnant development. It is in this context that the KPA National Council calls on all the sub-committees to take action to win the UDF candidates.

KPA believes that in the overall development of Kerala, it is necessary for non-residents to have influence in the administration. The KPA is currently not part of any front. KPA Chairman Rajendran Vellapalath added that the support given to the UDF now is unconditional.

ബോഡി ഷെയ്മിങ് എന്നത് പല വ്യക്തികളും അഭിമുഖീകരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമാണ്. സങ്കടകരമെന്നു പറയട്ടെ, പലപ്പോഴും ഇതിന്റെ തുടക്കം സ്വന്തം വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് തന്നെയാണ്. കുട്ടിയുടെ ചർമ്മത്തിൻ്റെ നിറം മുതൽ കുഞ്ഞിൻ്റെ തൂക്കം, ഉയരം, ശരീര രോമങ്ങൾ വരെ തരം തിരിച്ച് ഇത് പോലെയുള്ള വിവേകശൂന്യമായ അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ പറയുമ്പോൾ ഒരു കുട്ടിയുടെ മാത്രമല്ല, ഏതൊരു വ്യക്തിയുടെയും ആത്മവിശ്വാസത്തെയും അത് ബാധിക്കും. മാതാപിതാക്കളും ബന്ധുക്കളും ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങൾ ഒരാളുടെ രൂപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ രൂപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ ആകസ്മികമായി അഭിപ്രായങ്ങൾ കൈമാറുമ്പോൾ, വീട്ടിലെ കുട്ടികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇത് സ്വാധീനം ചെലുത്തും. ഈ പരാമർശങ്ങൾ അവരിൽ ഇത്തരം ധാരണകൾ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുകയും അരക്ഷിതാവസ്ഥ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും ശാരീരിക ഗുണങ്ങളെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള തരംതിരിവിന് കാരണമാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. നമ്മുടെ ഓരോരുത്തരുടെ വീടുകളിലും ഓരോ സത്യഭാമമാരുണ്ട് – അവരുടെ രൂപത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി മറ്റുള്ളവരെ വിലയിരുത്തുന്ന വ്യക്തികൾ. ഓരോ വ്യക്തിയെയും അവരുടെ വഴിയിൽ മനോഹരമാക്കുന്ന വൈവിധ്യത്തെയും അതുല്യതയെയും പലപ്പോഴും അവഗണിക്കുന്ന അവർ സമൂഹത്തിൻ്റെ സൗന്ദര്യ നിലവാരങ്ങൾ മാത്രം ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നവരാണ്. സമൂഹം അത്തരം പെരുമാറ്റത്തെ സാധാരണവൽക്കരിക്കുകയും നിശബ്ദമായി അംഗീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ് ഏറ്റവും ഖേദകരവും അതേപോലെ ആശങ്കാജനകവും. സൗന്ദര്യ മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങളോടുള്ള സമൂഹത്തിൻ്റെ അഭിനിവേശം ഈ പ്രശ്‌നത്തെ കൂടുതൽ വഷളാക്കുകയേയുള്ളൂ.

എന്നാൽ നിഷേധാത്മകതയ്ക്കിടയിലും ഒരു ചെറിയ പ്രതീക്ഷയുണ്ട്. സത്യഭാമയുടെ പരാമർശങ്ങൾ സ്വമേധയാ കേസെടുക്കാനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന മനുഷ്യാവകാശ കമ്മിഷൻ്റെ തീരുമാനം ശരിയായ ദിശയിലേക്കുള്ള ചുവടുവെപ്പാണ്. ഇത്തരം വിവേചനപരമായ പെരുമാറ്റം വെച്ചുപൊറുപ്പിക്കില്ലെന്നും കുറ്റവാളികൾ അവരുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉത്തരവാദികളായിരിക്കുമെന്നും ഇത് വ്യക്തമായ സന്ദേശം നൽകുന്നു.

From Shame to Strength: It’s time to turn the tide against body shaming

The recent controversy surrounding Mohiniyattam dancer Kalamandalam Sathyabhama’s body-shaming remarks has sparked widespread debate and introspection within the dance community and beyond.
In a recent interview on a YouTube channel, Sathyabhama made racist and casteist remarks, expressing her disdain towards seeing ‘dark’ men performing Mohiniyattam, referring to them as ‘black as a crow’. Her comments not only reflect a deep-rooted prejudice but also highlight the pervasive issue of body shaming, for men and women, within the arts.
Body shaming is a reality that many individuals face, and sadly, it starts at home. It is a serious form of bullying, harassment and humiliation. From the colour of the child’s skin to the baby’s weight, height, and even bodily hair, insensitive comments like these are enough to affect the confidence of any individual, let alone a child.
Instances from childhood where family members, including parents and relatives, casually pass comments about one’s appearance or that of others, leave a lasting impact. These remarks shape perceptions, create a shroud of insecurity, and contribute to a culture of judgment based on physical attributes. Sadly, body shaming no longer discriminates based on gender or age.
The dance community is not immune to the detrimental effects of body shaming. Men, in particular, have been trying to break the glass ceiling for years, and now with a new generation of audiences are finally getting more space on the stage. So, when renowned artists like Sathyabhama make way for such thoughtless comments, it not only breaks the effort but further exacerbates this issue, reinforcing harmful stereotypes and creating barriers for male dancers in the performing arts.
We all deal with our own “Sathyabhamas” at home – individuals who feel entitled to judge others based on their appearance. They adhere to society’s standards of beauty, often disregarding the diversity and uniqueness that make each individual beautiful in their way.
What is saddening and equally concerning is the normalization and silent acceptance of such behavior within society. Society’s obsession with beauty standards only exacerbates this issue, leading to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem among those who don’t fit into the mold.
But amidst the negativity, there is hope. According to various news channels, the apparent reference made to Mohiniyattam dancer R L V Ramakrishnan has evoked much outrage and condemnation both from within and outside the dancing community.
The Kerala State Human Rights Commission’s decision to take suo motu cognizance of Sathyabhama’s remarks is a step in the right direction. It sends a clear message that such discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated, and perpetrators will be held accountable for their actions.
Body positivity is the only cure for trauma related to body shaming. This trauma can lead to various issues like eating and image disorders, social withdrawal, deliberate self-harm and other long-term diseases. As individuals living in a society, we must foster a culture of acceptance and inclusivity, where everyone is celebrated for who they are, regardless of their appearance, and this effort must begin in our homes.
It’s a long journey, but one we must begin. Only then can we create a world where everyone feels comfortable and confident in their own skin.

Do not break our brotherhood: KPA opposes the Citizenship Amendment Bill

The Kerala Pravasi Association takes a stand against the Citizenship Amendment Bill, denouncing citizenship based on caste and religion.

KPA’s Chairman, Mr. Rajendran Vellapalath, and President, Mrs. Aswani Nambarambath, have petitioned the Supreme Court, challenging the discriminatory central policy.
In 1947, India was once divided in the name of religion. While Pakistan went on to become a religious state, India founded its secular policies that protected the beliefs of all religions and rejected religious divides.

Our constitution, post-independence, embraced secularism, and it is an important journey we must continue as real citizens. We reject the notion of an official religion or religious state.
The Citizenship Amendment Bill threatens this very ethos as discriminating against refugees defies humanity.

KPA stands firm, seeking judicial redressal to rectify such actions. Hence, we have filed a petition before the Supreme Court of India. We anticipate the court’s hearing of KPA’s Public Interest Litigation (PIL) and issuance of an interim order.

The Kerala Pravasi Association (KPA) has taken a significant step by filing a petition in the Supreme Court, to address the exorbitant air travel fares to and from the Gulf, a pressing concern for NRIs.

The petition was filed challenging Rule-135 of the Indian Aviation Act, which empowers airlines to fix ticket prices.

The petition seeks a reduction in airfares and the establishment of a cap on these fares, asserting that the existing Rule-135 of the Indian Aviation Act, grants airlines unchecked authority to determine ticket prices. This action has been taken in response to what the KPA perceives as unjust exploitation of Indian travelers through exorbitant fare hikes by airlines, creating a violation of the citizen’s right to travel.

Every air transport undertaking is expected to operate in accordance with sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 134, which establish the tariff by considering all factors including the cost of operation and the characteristics of the service.

But a lack of clear guidelines or transparency in the tariff fixation process has allowed airlines to raise fares without restraint and unfair exploitation of the vulnerable diaspora. Consequently, both international and domestic fares have surged, with international fares increasing by 40% and domestic fares by 20%. The Gulf region witnesses the highest fare hikes during holiday seasons, between June to September, with airlines citing escalating fuel prices as the rationale.

Price hikes in popular sectors like Dubai – Kochi, and Thiruvananthapuram, reached exorbitant levels, leaving passengers with limited options. The airlines’ exorbitant rates touched Rs 1,04,738 for flights to Kochi and up to Rs 2,45,829 for flights to Thiruvananthapuram. This rate is expected to continue till the end of September.

The Kerala Pravasi Association says that the government has failed to take necessary actions to curb the anti-consumer practices of airline companies, leaving expatriates with no choice but to pay Rs 40,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh for tickets that were previously available for Rs 7,000.

The petition also references the government’s previous intervention in setting fare caps for domestic flights based on flight duration. Currently, the rule states that flights of less than 40 minutes’ duration cannot be charged above Rs 2,900 (excluding GST) and above Rs 8,800 (excluding GST) per passenger.

The petition highlights the need for a similar regulatory approach for international fares. Kerala Pravasi Associatio is advocating for necessary amendments to the aircraft rules, to establish minimum and maximum fare limits for airlines, providing much-needed relief to travelers.

The Kerala Pravasi Association had also filed a petition in the Delhi High Court and have reached out to Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and the Director General of Civil Aviation, expressing their concerns about uncontrollable fare increases following a directive from the Delhi High Court. This demonstrates their determination to seek a resolution to the ongoing issue.

The petition was filed on behalf of the association by Chairman Rajendran Vellapalath and President, Aswani Nambarambath.

In a world where giant corporate enterprises dominate the markets, the promotion and support of startups and smaller entrepreneurs are imperative to the growth of any economy.

Today, India has firmly established itself as one of the largest global hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship. Thanks to this growth, India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is also projected to experience a surge of 5-10% by 2030, according to the 2023 edition of Inc42’s “The Ecosystem” report. At a GDP growth rate of 6%, India’s economy will soon outpace the growth of the United States (4%) and the European Union (1%), trailing only behind China (9%) in the next decade.

The inception of the “Start-up India” campaign on August 15, 2015, marked a pivotal moment in India’s entrepreneurial journey.

A 2015 NASSCOM report revealed that India ranks fourth in the world, trailing only behind the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel, with approximately 3,100 startups per year. The trajectory is promising, as Indian tech startups are projected to generate around 250,000 jobs over the next five years. More recently, between 2014 and June 2023, India saw the launch of over 68,000 startups, cementing their position on the Global Start-up Map, as a hotbed of innovation and entrepreneurship.

If growth continues at the same pace, Indian tech startups are expected to create around 2.5 lakh jobs in the next five years. India is expected to have 112 million workers aged 20-24 by 2020, compared to China’s 94 million workers. The role played by start-ups is essential in giving a new dimension to entrepreneurship in the country.

But like any sector, the challenges faced by startups are not small.

Challenges like a shortage of skilled labor, insufficient funding, and fierce competition from corporate giants loom large. Inadequate infrastructure and the complexity of scaling operations pose formidable hurdles. Regulatory complexities and bureaucratic obstacles, too, have impacted many startups in some sectors.

Yet, in the face of adversity, India’s startup ecosystem continues to grow in numbers. This resilience is a testament to the belief that governments alone cannot drive economic progress.

By providing a more streamlined process and a startup-friendly regulatory environment that will sustain the startup-boom momentum, startups can also help tackle societal issues, propel growth, satisfy consumer demands, and fortify the economy.  Startup enterprises must continually invest, innovate, and refine existing innovations to lay the groundwork for advancing the nation’s economy. To cultivate and sustain the entrepreneurial ecosystem, India must confront the challenges that startups face.

Addressing these will significantly bolster economic growth, foster job creation, and spur innovation. By creating an environment conducive to startup success, India has the potential to ascend as a global nucleus for innovation and entrepreneurship.

പരമ്പരാഗത രാഷ്ട്രീയ ശൈലികളിൽ നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തമായി സ്വയം പര്യാപ്ത കേരളം എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തിനായി പ്രവാസികളുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് കെപിഎ രൂപീകൃതമായത്. കെപിഎയ്ക്ക് കേന്ദ്ര തെരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പ് കമ്മിഷന്റെ അംഗീകാരം ലഭിച്ച് ഒരു വർഷം തികയുകയാണ്. കേരളത്തിലെ മാറുന്ന രാഷ്ട്രീയ മുന്നണി സമവാക്യങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവാസികളുടെ നിർണ്ണായക ഇടപെടൽ കൂടിയാണ് ഈ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടിയിലൂടെ KPA ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.

സമസ്ത മേഖലകളിലും സമഗ്രമായ മാറ്റമാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. നയരൂപീകരണങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി പ്രതിനിധി സമ്മേളനങ്ങൾ ജില്ലാതലത്തിൽ മൂന്നു മാസങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ പൂർത്തിയാവും. 2024 ആഗസ്റ്റിൽ സംസ്ഥാന സമ്മേളനത്തിന് കോഴിക്കോട് വേദിയാവും. ജനങ്ങളുടെ ദൈനംദിന ജീവിതവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട 36 മേഖലകളിൽ പഠനം നടത്തി വികസന മാതൃകകൾ രൂപീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മാറ്റങ്ങളിൽ ശ്രദ്ധയൂന്നി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പാർട്ടിയിൽ 18 വയസ്സ് തികഞ്ഞ ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരത്വമുള്ള ഏത് ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്കും അംഗമാകാം.

വാർഡ് തലങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന നിസ്വാർത്ഥരായ പൊതുപ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് KPA യിൽ ചേർന്നു പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ അവസരം ഒരുക്കുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം ജനാധിപത്യ പ്രക്രിയയിൽ അവസരങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

മറ്റുള്ള ജനാധിപത്യ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ അവരുടെ പൗരന്മാർക്ക് വോട്ടവകാശം രേഖപ്പെടുത്താൻ സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കുന്നത് പോലെ 18 ദശലക്ഷം വരുന്ന പ്രവാസികൾക്ക് അവർ നിൽക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് നിന്നുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പുകളിൽ വോട്ടുകൾ രേഖപ്പെടുത്താനുള്ള അവകാശം നേടിയെടുക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പരമോന്നത നീതിപീഠത്തിന് മുന്നിൽ റിട്ട് ഫയൽ ചെയ്തു കൊണ്ടാണ് കെപിഎയുടെ രംഗപ്രവേശം. പ്രവാസി വോട്ടവകാശം ഇന്നേവരെ മറ്റൊരു മുഖ്യധാരാ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രസ്ഥാനവും ആവശ്യപ്പെടാതിരുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് കെപിഎ ഈ ആവശ്യവുമായി മുന്നോട്ടുവന്നത് എന്ന കാര്യം ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്.

കെപിഎ ട്രസ്റ്റ്‌ന് രൂപം നൽകി ജനങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാന ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്നതിന് ഭാഗമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച പദ്ധതികളിൽ ആദ്യ പരിഗണന നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് 1000 ഭവന പദ്ധതിയുമായി മുൻപോട്ടു പോകുന്ന അവസരത്തിൽ 3 വീടുകൾ കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിൽ പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഡിസംബറിൽ താക്കോൽ ദാനം നടത്തിയെന്നത് എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ട കാര്യമാണ്.

തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിനും വളർന്നുവരുന്ന യുവതലമുറക്ക് അടക്കം പുതിയ തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിന്റെയും ഭാഗമായി, പ്രവാസി ജോബ്സ്ന് രൂപം നൽകുകയും പദ്ധതി രൂപീകരണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ അവസാന ഘട്ടത്തിൽ എത്തിനിൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് വരുന്ന അഭ്യസ്തവിദ്യരായ തൊഴിലില്ലാത്ത യുവതലമുറയ്ക്ക് പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ നൽകുന്ന പദ്ധതിയാണിത്.

പുതിയ ഭാരവാഹികളെ യോഗത്തിൽ വെച്ച് തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. ശ്രീ അമൽജിത് ജില്ലാ പ്രസിഡന്റായും, ശ്രീ മൻസൂർ മണ്ണിൽ ജില്ലാ സിക്രട്ടറിയായും, ശ്രീ വേണു വെട്ടുമ്മൽ ട്രഷറാറായുമുള്ള ഇരുപതിനാലംഗ കമ്മറ്റിയെ യോഗത്തിൽ വച്ച് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

കണ്ണൂർ: (30-4-2023) സ്വതന്ത്ര രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടിയായ കെപിഎയുടെ കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലാ സമ്മേളനം കണ്ണൂർ പയ്യാമ്പലം കൃഷ്ണ ബീച്ച് റിസോർട്ടിൽ കെപിഎ ദേശീയ ചെയർമാൻ ശ്രീ. രാജേന്ദ്രൻ വെള്ളപാലത്ത് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ദേശീയ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ശ്രീമതി. അശ്വനി നമ്പാറമ്പത്ത്, ദേശീയ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ശ്രീ. ജെറി രാജു മറ്റു ദേശീയ കൗൺസിൽ നേതാക്കളും കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ വിവിധ കമ്മിറ്റകളിൽ നിന്നെത്തിയ 470 ഓളം പ്രതിനിധികളെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്ത് സംസാരിച്ചു. ജനങ്ങളുടെ ദൈനദിന ജീവിതവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട മുപ്പത്തിയാറു മേഖലകളിൽ പ്രവാസികൾക്കുള്ള കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകൾ നടപ്പിൽ വരുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് സ്വയം പര്യാപ്തമായ ഒരു കേരളം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുക എന്നുള്ളതാണ് KPA മുന്നോട്ടു വെയ്ക്കുന്നത്. രാഷ്ട്രീയ കൊലപാതകങ്ങൾ അവസാനിച്ചിട്ടും കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ല കൊലപാതകികളുടെ നാടാണെന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഗൂഢശ്രമം നടക്കുന്നതായി കെപിഎ (കേരള പ്രവാസി അസോസിയേഷൻ) ആരോപിച്ചു. ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട അക്രമങ്ങൾ പെരുപ്പിച്ച് കാണിച്ച് കണ്ണൂരിനെ നശീകരണത്തിന്റെ നാടായി ചിത്രീകരിക്കാൻ ബോധപൂർവ്വം ശ്രമം നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കണ്ണൂരിന്റെ വികസനത്തിന് വെല്ലുവിളിയായി മാറുന്ന ഈ ദുഷ്പ്പേര് തിരുത്താൻ മുഖ്യധാര രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ ശ്രമിക്കാത്തതിൽ കെപിഎ കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലാ സമ്മേളനം പ്രതിഷേധിച്ചു. കണ്ണൂരിൽ നിന്നും കൂടുതൽ വിമാനങ്ങൾക്ക് സർവീസ് നടത്താൻ കേന്ദ്ര വ്യോമയാന മന്ത്രാലയം അനുമതി നൽകണമെന്നും ജില്ലാ സമ്മേളനം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. രാജ്യത്തെ വിമാന കമ്പനികൾ വിദേശത്തേക്ക് കണ്ണൂരിൽ നിന്നും 68 സർവീസുകൾ നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ വിദേശ വിമാന കമ്പനികൾക്ക് സർവീസ് നടത്താനുള്ള അനുമതി കേന്ദ്രം നൽകുന്നില്ല. കേന്ദ്ര വ്യോമയാന മന്ത്രാലയം നിഷേധാത്മക നിലപാട് തിരുത്തി വിദേശ വിമാന കമ്പനികൾക്ക് കണ്ണൂരിൽ നിന്നും സർവീസ് നടത്താൻ അനുമതി നൽകണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് കെപിഎ പ്രമേയം പാസാക്കി.

പ്രഥമ ജില്ലാ പ്രതിനിധി സമ്മേളനം ദേശീയ ചെയർമാൻ രാജേന്ദ്രൻ വെള്ളപ്പാലത്ത് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഉൾപ്പെടെ ഉന്നതരായ രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതാക്കളുടെ നാടായിട്ടുപോലും കണ്ണൂരിന്റെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ ഇതുവരെ ഇവർ ആരും പരിഗണിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് രാജേന്ദ്രൻ വെള്ളപ്പാലത്ത് ആരോപിച്ചു. കേരളത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ടൂറിസം സാധ്യതയുള്ള ജില്ല കൂടിയാണ് കണ്ണൂർ. നാല് കിലോമീറ്റർ മണലിൽ പരന്നുകിടക്കുന്ന കേരളത്തിലെ ഏക ഡ്രൈവ്-ഇൻ ബീച്ചായ കണ്ണൂരിലെ മുഴപ്പിലങ്ങാട് ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ആറ് ഡ്രൈവ്-ഇൻ ബീച്ചുകളിൽ ഒന്നായി ബിബിസി 2016 ഇൽ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരുന്നു. മുഴുപ്പിലങ്ങാട് ഉൾപ്പെടെ ജനപ്രിയ ടൂറിസം കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ പൂർണ്ണമായും അവഗണിക്കപ്പെടുകയാണ്. കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയോടുള്ള കേന്ദ്ര സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരുകളുടെ അവഗണന അവസാനിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നും രാജേന്ദ്രൻ വെള്ളപ്പാലത്ത് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

സമസ്ത മേഖലകളിലും സമഗ്രമായ മാറ്റമാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. നയരൂപീകരണങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി പ്രതിനിധി സമ്മേളനങ്ങൾ ജില്ലാതലത്തിൽ മൂന്നു മാസങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ പൂർത്തിയാവും. 2023 ആഗസ്റ്റിൽ സംസ്ഥാന സമ്മേളനത്തിന് കോഴിക്കോട് വേദിയാവും. ജനങ്ങളുടെ ദൈനംദിന ജീവിതവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട 36 മേഖലകളിൽ പഠനം നടത്തി വികസന മാതൃകകൾ രൂപീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മാറ്റങ്ങളിൽ ശ്രദ്ധയൂന്നി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പാർട്ടിയിൽ 18 വയസ്സ് തികഞ്ഞ ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരത്വമുള്ള ഏത് ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്കും അംഗമാകാം.

കെപിഎ ട്രസ്റ്റ്‌ന് രൂപം നൽകി ജനങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാന ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്നതിന് ഭാഗമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച പദ്ധതികളിൽ ആദ്യ പരിഗണന നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് 1000 ഭവന പദ്ധതിയുമായി മുൻപോട്ടു പോകുന്ന അവസരത്തിൽ 3 വീടുകൾ കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിൽ പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഡിസംബറിൽ താക്കോൽ ദാനം നടത്തിയെന്നത് എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ട കാര്യമാണ്. KPA ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് KPA ദേശീയ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് ശ്രീമതി അശ്വനി നമ്പാറമ്പത് പ്രധിനിധി സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചു.

തൊഴിലില്ലായ്മ പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിനും വളർന്നുവരുന്ന യുവതലമുറക്ക് അടക്കം പുതിയ തൊഴിലവസരങ്ങൾ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിന്റെയും ഭാഗമായി, പ്രവാസി ജോബ്സ്ന് രൂപം നൽകുകയും പദ്ധതി രൂപീകരണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ അവസാന ഘട്ടത്തിൽ എത്തിനിൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് വരുന്ന അഭ്യസ്തവിദ്യരായ തൊഴിലില്ലാത്ത യുവതലമുറയ്ക്ക് പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ നൽകുന്ന പദ്ധതിയാണിത്.

ജില്ലാ പ്രസിഡന്റ് മുഹമ്മദ് ഇഖ്ബാൽ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. ദേശീയ ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറി ജെറി രാജു സംഘടന റിപ്പോർട്ടും ദേശീയ പ്രസിഡന്റ് അശ്വനി നമ്പാറമ്പത്ത് അനുബന്ധ പ്രവർത്തന റിപ്പോർട്ടും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ബീന സുനിൽ, രൂപേഷ് പുല്ലാഞ്ഞിയോടൻ, മനോജ് മാത്യു എന്നിവർ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു. മുഹമ്മദ് ഇക്ബാൽ (പ്രസിഡണ്ട്‌), അശോക് കുമാർ (വൈ.പ്രസിഡണ്ട്), രൂപേഷ് പുല്ലഞ്ഞിയോടൻ (സെക്രട്ടറി), മുഹമ്മദ് ആഷിഖ് (ജോ. സിക്രട്ടറി), മനോജ് കുമാർ (ട്രഷറർ), ആബിദ ഫക്രുദീൻ (ജോ. ട്രഷറർ) എന്നിങ്ങനെ 19 അംഗ കമ്മറ്റിയാണ് തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.
