
About Aswani Nambarambath
Aswani is a social reformer, start-up enthusiast and the Chief Operating Officer of a travel technology company. She has spent more than a decade in technology and is now building new opportunities for women across India.
Aswani is fueled by her passion for technology and at the age of 21, this passion led her to co-found a Tech Development company, which was scaled and today serves satisfied customers from across the world. The company was listed and recognized as one of the Top100 Startups from Kerala, India.
Aswani understands the nuances of startups and was one of the first women entrepreneurs to take the leap and embark on this journey in Kerala, that later saw her play a pivotal role for many tech advancements in the years to come. Today she is a reputed technology-driven executive shaping the future of Technology in hospitality, and aviation distribution.
Her expertise led her company to be listed and recognized as one of the Top 100 Startups from Kerala. It was recognized under the ‘Startup India, Standup India Program’ and got incubated in Kerala Startup Mission with support from the Kerala IT mission. In her present role as Chief Operating Officer for a Travel Tech company, she continues to lead the way in building next-generation booking engines and distribution platforms for Airlines, Corporate travel and Travel agencies.
Aswani believes that women are and have always been significant contributors to the field of technology and hence it is the need of the hour to improve gender diversity and create equal opportunities for them. Her strong belief and self-empowerment has changed the perception of a ‘career in technology for women’ and has paved the way for many to follow.
Aswani is among the founding members of the Kerala Pravasi Association – the first national political party led by expatriates, working towards the welfare and rehabilitation of expatriates from Kerala and towards the vision of creating a ‘Self Reliant Kerala through Pravasi’s’.
In her role as National Council President, she brings her expertise in technology and her commitment to work towards the greater good to KPA, where she oversees all the activities and events held by the organization as well as virtually coordinates with member associations from across the globe to expand KPA’s presence across the world. Her digital and social marketing expertise helped boost KPA’s online presence to over 2.9 lakh followers on Facebook, making it the most followed National Political Party online.
She is also a voice for women and girls’ economic empowerment and in her role she works closely with expatriate Indians and advocating for policies to support low-income families and women entrepreneurs in India.
Projects
Aswani’s vision to unite, empower and protect the fundamental rights of Pravasi Indians, led to the formation of the Kerala Pravasi Association (KPA). Today, KPA is an independent non-profit, national political party, led by expatriates and approved by the Central Election Commission, with a vision of realizing a self-sufficient and self-reliant New Kerala, through Pravasi’s.
She is also at the helm of KPA’s ambitious ‘Kerala Sree’ project that was formulated for the empowerment of women by providing them with self-employment opportunities in any business venture they wish to pursue.


Education
Aswani is an Electronics Engineering graduate from AWH Engineering College, Kozhikode and a post-graduate from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore.
